Afghanistan to launch satellite to space

The Afghanistan`s Ministry of Communication and Information Technology announced to launch its first satellite to space to provide internal and international communication.

This satellite is to launch by an international company and will cost $250 million, Amirzai Sangin the Minister of Communication & IT told BBC.

Three international companies have presented their proposal for launching the satellite, Minister Sangin said.

He added the cabinet has approved this proposal.
