The 4th meeting regarding rescuing children from poverty, mortality at birth and treatment of mothers during pregnancy and giving birth held in Kabul on Tuesday. The meeting was sponsored by ministry of public health and specialists and doctors had participated.
Participants planed to provide programs to encounter the problems.
Afghanistan has the highest rate of mortality at birth and pregnancy.
Thuraya Dalil the Afghan minister of public health said Afghanistan has been able to reduce the percentage of mortality at birth. She further added right now only 327 mothers out of 100000 dies during giving birth however this number was more than 1600 in eleven years ago.
Ministry of public health has strong and serious programs and plans to reduce the mortality at birth Thuraya Dalil said in the meeting.
