President Hamid Karzai strongly condemned the roadside bombing that resulted in deaths of four children and caused injuries to two other civilians in Meyanshin district of Kandahar province.
According to Kandahar governor’s office, a roadside bomb detonated on Saturday at noon in Zanto area of Meyanshin district in Kandahar, leaving four children dead and two others wounded- all members of one family.
Denouncing the inhuman and terrorist act in the strongest possible terms, President Karzai described killing of innocent children, a cowardly act against Islamic teachings and Afghan culture, calling the perpetrators foreign mercenaries.
The President offers deep condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims and prays for their prolonged endurance and rapid recovery of the wounded.
