Storm in US Killed 1, Cut Power of Thousands

One man died and a hundred thousand people left without electricity in Georgia after the country was hit by a windstorm.

The strong winds severely hit local infrastructure, bringing down electricity lines and destroying at least 210 houses.

The head of Georgia’s government convened a meeting in which the ministers of finance and health and the MIA representatives took part, Interfax reported.

The windstorm is supposed to end on Monday.
