Suicide bombings in Afghanistan kill 3

A suicide car bombing in eastern Afghanistan on Sunday killed two intelligence agents, officials said.

The explosion took place in front of Jalalabad’s national security office on Sunday, provincial police spokesman Hazrat Hossain Mashriqiwal said.

It was followed by a similar attack on a police base in Logar, 70 kilometres south of the capital, officials said. The attacks together killed two intelligence agents and a police officer, officials said.

Militants use improvised explosive devices, including roadside bombs, against Afghan forces, foreign troops and civilians.
