Turkish PM Erdogan Equates “Zionism” to “Fascism”

At a United Nations Conference in Vienna, Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan called “Zionism” a “Crime against Humanity.”

Erdogan actually lumped “Zionism” in with “Fascism,” and called them crimes against humanity. He made the statement as he condemned what he called, “Islamophobia.”

“Zionism” is often used to refer to the right of the Jewish people to have their own country in the Land of Israel – their homeland. Many in the Islamic world condemn Israel’s right to exist as a nation.
