UN concerns over misbehaving children in Afghanistan`s courts

Human rights organizations have expressed their concerned over how children are behaved in Afghanistan`s courts.

It is said a 13 year old boy has sentenced for a year of reform detention due to committing an abomination. This abomination is mentioned

illegal in Afghanistan`s laws and is also opposite to Afghanistan`s Islamic national culture.

Based on reports a 13 year old boy has sentenced for a year of detention due to committing an abomination with two men in Herat province

however no details has been published about the decision of court for two men who are involved with the case.

Human Rights Watch has expressed its concern over how children are treated in Afghanistan`s courts and has called this boy release. This

organization has called Afghan government to punish the men instead of the boy.

The prosecutor for this case has said this boy is in detention in Children Reform Center because he has done this action by his option.

Committing such actions are considered strongly illegal based on Afghanistan`s criminal law and is opposite to Afghans` Islamic national

values. Experts say not executing the Islamic laws in Afghanistan`s courts is the reason for such actions to increase in society.
