Finance Minister Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal had proposed a reshuffle of top officials which have been approved by the President, Wadsam reported.
The reshuffle includes changing of 34 senior officers.
Former Chief of Pashtany Bank Gul Maqsood Sabi has been appointed as the new deputy minister for revenue and custom affairs.
Identifying anti-corruption efforts and better services as his top priorities, Minister Zakhilwal said the move was aimed to boost revenue, utilize staff capacity and meet the commitment the government made at the Tokyo Conference.
