President Hamid Karzai has condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attacks in the provinces of Kabul and Khost in which many innocent people including children were killed and injured.
As per the information by the Ministry of Defense, a suicide bomber on a bicycle blew himself up close to the entrance of the Ministry of Defense in Kabul killing nine innocent civilians and wounding another fourteen.
In a separate incident in the province of Khost, a suicide bomber blew up his explosives close to a patrol of Afghan police in the city of Khost killing eight children and two policemen and wounding another two civilians.
Strongly condemning the attacks, President Karzai said “killing civilians especially children stand in complete negation of all Islamic teachings and human values calling its perpetrators as coward who resort to violence and bloodletting to please their foreign masters.”
President Karzai offers his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and prays for the quick recovery of those wounded.
