8 police officers poisoned in Ghazni

At least eight Afghan police officers have been poisoned in central-eastern province of Ghazni.

The incident took place in the Andar District on Tuesday and local officials have confirmed the incident.

Afghan police authorities say the poisoned officers have been transferred to a local hospital.

Meanwhile, Taliban have claimed responsibility for the poisoning, saying two of the police officers have been killed and six others have gone into a coma.

On January 8, a total of 250 Afghan police officers were poisoned in a police station in Afghanistan’s northern province of Balkh.
